LOCATION

Broadstairs is a Georgian and Victorian coastal town at the edge of Kent, ‘the Garden of England’. Close enough to London to access the very best of the Capital, it is increasingly becoming home to city commuters. The coastline features many impressive sandy beaches and touchstones of cultural significance include the Turner Contemporary Gallery and numerous links to Charles Dickens, who spent a good deal of time in the area whilst writing.

A caring ethos and broad curriculum ensures pupils are nurtured as part of a happy family. Art, music and drama feature centrally in school life, while an impressive range of sports, from riding to sailing, provides an outlet for every talent.

The Wellesley Haddon Dene community extends far and wide. The affection in which the school is held by alumni is extraordinary, as is the strength of enduring friendships forged by pupils during their time at the school. Many remain involved and send their own children to the school.

Alumni include royalty, politicians, Lord Mayors of London, First class cricketers, Olympic medalists, actors and others who have contributed significantly in a wide range of fields.
